An instant New York Times bestseller and Reese Witherspoon book club pick, Fair Play by Eve Rodsky was a joy to work on. At Penguin Random House, I was the lead designer for this book, so I created all promotional content including ads, eblasts, postcards, promotional videos, and cover animations. Hello Sunshine was a partner on this book, so their team also created content. We followed a style guide in order to ensure all materials followed a clear branding language.

This eblast was sent out to readers and those in the publishing industry. I made sure to feature Reese Witherspoon’s name prominently at the top to immediately draw viewers attention.

Continuing with the book brand styling, I designed these shares within the font and color stylings, so they are recognizable as part of the Fair Play brand. Since each quote was from a well-known person, the attributes were at a larger size.



postcard
Along with additional promotional items that would be sent to influencers, I designed this postcard to be included in the package. The intention was to direct those who received it to the various Fair Play social media channels.
cover animation
This cover animation was made to quickly capture the attention of viewers, while drawing focus to the playful elements on the cover.
book club kit
The below book club kit was created to send out to influencers and to be available to readers to give a behind-the-scenes look at the author’s though processes. Eve Rodsky gave an in depth Q & A on how she developed the Fair Play method.
